Understanding Chiropractic

The science and philosophy behind natural healing

Spinal cord anatomy showing the relationship between vertebrae and nervous system

The Foundation of Chiropractic Science

The basic premise of the drugless Chiropractic healing method is based upon the relation between the spinal column (which consists of 24 movable vertebrae together with the skull and the Pelvic girdle) and the Central Nervous System which in turn is in control of ALL functions of the human body.

Key Principle

The Central Nervous System has its headquarters in the brain and controls every cell in our bodies, directing their physiological function for optimal health.

The Chiropractic Approach

Understanding the problem and solution

The Problem

Any of the 24 vertebrae may move to disrupt healthy communication by impinging on nerves from the spine, resulting in dysfunction of any part of our body which then manifests as disease.

The Solution

This condition, called a vertebral SUBLUXATION, is adjusted by the chiropractor painlessly by hand, restoring normal flow of vital nerve energy to the affected area and restoring health.

A pioneering health center that represented the future of chiropractic care in Europe

Bogazi Clinic - First Cyprus and European Chiropractic Health Centre

The Vision

This was the first Cyprus and European Chiropractic Health Centre and Resort built by Dr. Ramon for his patients overlooking the harbour in the village of Bogazi, Famagusta, consisting of 32 spacious rooms together with lecture rooms and restaurant.

The Loss

Unfortunately, Dr Ramon had to relinquish this health resort to the Turkish military occupation of Cyprus that continues illegally since 1974.

Continuing Service

After the Turkish occupation of Famagusta Town, he continues practicing in Nicosia Cyprus, maintaining his commitment to chiropractic care and healing.

Historical Significance

The Bogazi Clinic represented more than just a medical facility—it was a symbol of innovation and hope for holistic healthcare in Cyprus and Europe. Despite its loss, Dr. Ramon's vision continues to inspire the chiropractic community and serves as a reminder of the resilience needed to overcome adversity while maintaining dedication to healing.
